Here is one just for this cold weather spell, It is really for 4 people but I would say 2 people who eat allot in cold weather.
Some of the recipes are Our variations of a book my mum was given when she was young, I think about 1950 (The Odhams Encyclopaedia of Cookery, Illustrated) And Others are my late Nan's from about the 30's which are typed and hand written on old paper. They are a small gift from my past to who ever wants to try them out.

Speedy Spice Cake
You will need two sponge tins for this one.
It was one of my favourites as a child mainly because it had a yummy creamy filling between the sponges.
